  24.    This version of The Blue Wave Offline Mail Door will work with
  25.    PCBoard-DOS or PCBoard-OS/2 v15.20 or later only.  Although this mail
  26.    door has been tested with the latest beta version of PCBoard v15.30
  27.    available as of 16 June 96, we cannot guarantee absolute compatibility
  28.    with the final release version.  Both DOS and OS/2 executables are
  29.    included.

  33.    Section II:  Contact and Registration Information

  36.    At the time of this writing, all Blue Wave Mail System files and contact
  37.    information were available on the Internet through our World Wide Web site.
  38.    Simply point your web browser at http://www.concentric.net/~bluewave to
  39.    keep up to date on the latest available versions of the mail system.

  41.    In addition to Cutting Edge Computing in the USA, we are pleased to be
  42.    able to offer registration agents in Australia, Europe and South Africa.
  43.    Please consult the following files for registration details:

  51.    As always, our BBS is available 24 hours per day at +1-810-743-8464.  All
  52.    Blue Wave files are available for download on your first call.  If you are
  53.    a FidoNet SysOp, you may request FILES from 1:2240/176 to receive our
  54.    current list of available files.

  56.    Our support BBS also offers immediate online registration by credit
  57.    card.  Simply log into our BBS and select "R)egister Blue Wave" from the
  58.    main system menu.  After you have entered the requested information, the
  59.    online registration system will provide you with a temporary 30-day
  60.    registration number.  When your credit card purchase has been authorized,
  61.    you will receive a permanent registration number from us via SnailMail.

  65.    Section III:  Installation/Upgrade Instructions

  68.    If you are upgrading from version 4.00 of The Blue Wave Offline Mail Door
  69.    for PCBoard, simply unZip the contents of BW_DOS.ZIP (or BW_OS2.ZIP if
  70.    you are using the OS/2 version of PCBoard) into your current mail door
  71.    directory.  No file conversions or other special steps are required.

  73.    If you are installing the mail door for the first time, refer to the
  74.    installation instructions provided in Chapter 5 of the file BWMAIL.DOC.
  75.    Don't worry... first-time installations are usually quick, easy, and
  76.    painless.

  78.    If you are using another version of the mail door (i.e. Maximus, Opus,
  79.    RemoteAccess, QuickBBS, etc.), be aware that an upgrade installation is
  80.    not possible.  You must perform a full installation of the mail door, as
  81.    discussed above.

  85.    Section IV:  Unregistered Mail Door Limitations

  88.    The following limitations apply to unregistered versions of The Blue Wave
  89.    Offline Mail Door:

  91.    *>   A maximum of 2 remote nodes plus 1 local node is supported.
  92.    *>   QWK mail packet downloads are disabled.

  94.    In order to facilitate a full evaluation of The Blue Wave Offline Mail
  95.    Door, Cutting Edge Computing offers *FREE* 30-day trial registrations.
  96.    The free trial registration number provides you with a fully functional
  97.    mail door, with none of the above limitations, for 30 days.  (After the
  98.    30 days have expired, the limitations are automatically reinstated.)

  100.    To receive your free 30-day trial registration, simply do one of the
  101.    following:

  103.    *>   Log into our support BBS at +1-810-743-8464, select "R)egister Blue
  104.         Wave" from the main system menu, then choose "Free PCBoard 30-day
  105.         trial".  The online system will ask you a few questions, then
  106.         provide you with a working 30-day registration number on-the-spot.

  108.    *>   Send a self-addressed STAMPED envelope (**), along with the "SysOp
  109.         Real Name" and the "Mail Packet Name" you have entered in the
  110.         BWSETUP->General Information Menu, to Cutting Edge Computing.

  112.         ** If you live outside of the USA, you will need to send a
  113.            self-addressed envelope and include an International Reply Coupon
  114.            (available from your Post Office), $1.00 in US Currency, or the
  115.            equivalent of $1.00 US in your own currency to cover return
